Everything could happen in Novo Mesto at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Slovenian Krka and 8th ranked Croatian KK Zadar had identical 1-1 record. This time Krka used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Zadar 78-62 on Monday night. The game without a history. Krka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KK Zadar to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded KK Zadar 35-23 including a 27-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Krka especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. It was a good game for forward Edo Muric (202-91) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Croatian point guard Jakov Vladovic (187-83) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Marko Ramljak (201-93, agency: Interperformances) answered with 13 points and American Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) added 13 points in the effort for KK Zadar. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending Slovenian champion (2-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser KK Zadar keeps the eighth position with two games lost. Krka will face Cibona (#12) in Zagreb in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KK Zadar will play at home against Union Olimpija (#3) in Ljubljana.
