Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Croatian KK Split and 8th ranked FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje had identical 2-2 record. This time KK Split used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Skopje 73-65 on Saturday night. The game without a history. KK Split led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to MZT Skopje's 34. The best player for the winners was guard Ivan Mimica (190-80) who scored 22 points. Filip Kruslin (198-89, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 8 points and 9 rebounds. American swingman Cade Davis (197-88, college: Oklahoma) produced 16 points and Gjorji Cekovski (203-79) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. KK Split (3-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Union Olimpija and Krka. MZT Skopje lost their third game in a row. Defending FYR Macedonian champion dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. KK Split will face Szolnok (#13) in Szolnok in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MZT Skopje will play at home against Zvezda (#12) in Beograd.
