Regular Season Round 6: Partizan - Radnicki KG 91-80

The most interesting game of round 6 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where third ranked Partizan won against visiting Radnicki KG (2-4) 91-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Radnicki KG. The game was mostly controlled by Partizan. Radnicki KG managed to win fourth quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Partizan outrebounded Radnicki KG 40-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Drew Gordon (205-90, college: N.Mexico) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Vladimir Lucic (202-89, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Partizan players scored in double figures. Australian Mark Worthington (202-83, college: Metro St.) replied with 15 points and American guard Terrico White (196-90, college: Mississippi) added 15 points in the effort for Radnicki KG. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Partizan have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Serbian champion (5-1) moved-up to second place. Radnicki KG at the other side keeps the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Partizan are looking forward to face KK Split (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Radnicki KG will play against Krka in Novo Mesto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
