Important game to mention about took place in Podgorica. Fourth ranked Montenegrin Buducnost (6-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Serbian Radnicki KG (5-5) 80-78 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Radnicki KG. Radnicki KG was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 36-33 second half run of Buducnost. They outrebounded Radnicki KG 41-25 including 16 on the offensive glass. Radnicki KG was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Finnish-American center Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU) notched 20 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Aleksa Popovic (201-87) supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Buducnost players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (198-85) did not help to save the game for Radnicki KG. Slovenian-Serbian point guard Aleksandar Capin (186-82, agency: Beo Basket) added 17 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Buducnost have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Montenegrin champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Crvena Zvezda and Cedevita. Radnicki KG at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with MZT Skopje and Krka. Buducnost will play against KK Split (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Radnicki KG will play against KK Zadar (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
