The game between closely ranked teams ended with 14th ranked Hungarian Szolnok's (2-10) road loss to thirteenth ranked Croatian KK Zadar (4-8) 54-72. The game was mostly controlled by KK Zadar. Szolnok was better in fourth quarter 19-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KK Zadar made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American Romeo Travis (201-84, college: Akron) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Croatian-Bosnian power forward Jozo Brkic (212-86, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. KK Zadar's coach Ante Nazor used entire bench saving starting five for next games. KK Zadar moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Siroki WWin. Szolnok lost sixth consecutive game. Defending Hungarian champion stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. KK Zadar's next round opponent will be higher ranked KK Split (#10) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Szolnok will play against the league's second-placed Partizan (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
