Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Croatian KK Zadar (2-5) lost at home to seventh ranked Slovenian Un.Olimpija (4-3) 67-60 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-9. But KK Zadar won second period 26-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Luka Rupnik (185-93) who led the winners and scored 18 points. Serbian point guard Marko Marinovic (183-83) accounted for 12 points for the winning side. Un.Olimpija's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Josip Sobin (203-89) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard James Florence (185-88, college: Mercer) added 9 points respectively for KK Zadar in the defeat. Un.Olimpija moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Mega Vizura. KK Zadar lost their fourth game in a row. KK Zadar at the other side dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Un.Olimpija will meet at home Igokea (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KK Zadar will play against the league's second-placed Buducnost and hope to secure a win.
