The game between closely ranked teams ended with thirteenth ranked Bosnian Igokea's (3-7) home victory over bottom-ranked Bulgarian Levski Sofia (1-9) in Aleksandrovac 87-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Igokea. Levski Sofia was better in third quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Igokea forced 23 Levski Sofia turnovers. Levski Sofia was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian-Montenegrin forward Nikola Dragovic (206-87, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian swingman Djordje Drenovac (202-92) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Igokea players scored in double figures. Pavlin Ivanov (194-93, agency: Beo Basket) replied with 6 points and 6 assists and Dimitar Dimitrov (203-93, agency: Interperformances) added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Levski Sofia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Bosnian champion moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Zadar and MZT Skopje. Defending Bulgarian champion Levski Sofia stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Igokea will face higher ranked Cibona (#9) in Zagreb in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Levski Sofia will play on the road against MZT Skopje (#11) and hope to win that game.
