Rather expected game when 14th ranked Bulgarian Levski Sofia (1-22) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Bosnian Igokea (8-15) 92-77 on Monday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 10-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-77. It was a great evening for Canadian guard Brady Heslip (188-90, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!) (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Serbian Djordje Milosevic (198-93) helped adding 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Igokea players scored in double figures. Igokea's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Pavel Ivanov (200-88, agency: Interperformances) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds and FYR Macedonian forward Stojan Gjuroski (203-91, college: Louisiana Tech) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The victory was the third consecutive win for Igokea. Defending Bosnian champion maintains twelfth place with 8-15 record. Levski Sofia lost their fourteenth game in a row. Defending Bulgarian champion stay dead last with 22 lost games. Igokea will face higher ranked Cibona (#11) in Zagreb in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Levski Sofia will play at home against MZT Skopje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
