Regular Season Round 23: Un.Olimpija - Cedevita 84-91

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Croatian Cedevita (17-6) beat 9th ranked Slovenian Un.Olimpija (9-14) in Ljubljana 91-84. Un.Olimpija was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Un.Olimpija helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Miro Bilan (213-89) who scored 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman James White (201-82, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American-Bosnian guard Zack Wright (191-85, college: Central Mo.) produced 18 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Miha Lapornik (194-93, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 17 points respectively for the hosts. Five Cedevita and four Un.Olimpija players scored in double figures. Un.Olimpija's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending Croatian champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Crvena Zvezda. Un.Olimpija at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 14 games lost. Cedevita's next round opponent will be Metalac (#12) in Valjevo and are hoping to win another game. Un.Olimpija will play on the road against Mega Leks (#4) in Sremska Mitrovica and hope to win that game.
