Not a big story in a game in Sentjur where 14th ranked Slovenian Tajfun (7-17) was defeated by seventh ranked Serbian Partizan (11-13) 83-65 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-65. Partizan outrebounded Tajfun 31-16 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Partizan especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was Slovenian forward Edo Muric (202-91, agency: Beo Basket) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: W.Virginia) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Sandi Cebular (195-86) who recorded 15 points and point guard Domen Bratoz (189-93) added 9 points and 6 steals respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Partizan moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cibona and Zadar. Tajfun lost tenth consecutive game. Defending Slovenian champion stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Partizan will meet at home league's second-placed Cedevita in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tajfun will play against MZT Skopje (#9) and hope to secure a win.
