Regular Season Round 8: Mega Leks - Krka 95-96

Important game to mention about took place in Sremska Mitrovica. Seventh ranked Slovenia Krka (4-3) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 12th ranked Serbian Mega Leks (2-6) 96-95 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 52-45 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Mega Leks were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Serbian Marko Lukovic (207-92, agency: BeoBasket) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Matic Rebec (181-95) chipped in 23 points. Point guard Jovan Novak (188-94) produced 27 points and 5 assists and swingman Rade Zagorac (205-95, agency: BeoBasket) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Five Krka and four Mega Leks players scored in double figures. Krka have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Loser Mega Leks dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Krka will face MZT Skopje (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mega Leks will play against Igokea in Aleksandrovac and hope to win that game.
