Regular Season Round 25: Partizan - Krka 94-80

Very predictable result in Beograd where third ranked Serbian Partizan (19-6) defeated bottom-ranked Slovenian Krka (7-18) 94-80 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-80. Partizan made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Bosnian-Serbian Adin Vrabac (204-94) stepped up and scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and guard Stefan Pot (196-94) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. At the losing side center Ziga Dimec (211-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Serbian Marko Lukovic (207-92, agency: BeoBasket) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Partizan. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cedevita. Krka lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Partizan will face Igokea (#5) in Aleksandrovac in the next round. Krka will play at home against Cibona (#6) and hope to win that game.
