Semi-Finals Game 8: LATVIA - LITHUANIA 75-77

Lithuania nipped Latvia to enter Final in Taipei. Ignas Vaitkus notched 20 points to lead the winners. Latvia recorded a 17:13 lead after the opening quarter. Lithuania bounced back in the second term. They sank 23 points to surge ahead for a 36:33 halftime lead. Latvia denied the deficit in the third term as the teams entered the final term tied at 56. Lithuania however sank 21 points in the fourth quarter and eked out a tough victory. Tomas Dimsa and Donatas Tarolis netted 13 points each for the winners. Guntis Sipolins recorded 23 points and 9 rebounds for Latvia. Linards Jaunzems had 19 points in the defeat.
