Regular Season Round 2: FMP - MZT Skopje 100-72

The game between Serbian FMP (1-1) and FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (1-1) in Beograd ended with biggest points difference. FMP outscored guests from Skopje 100-72. It looked good early as MZT Skopje took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then FMP had a 26-18 second period charge getting the lead and MZT Skopje was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-100. FMP dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to MZT Skopje's 32. They outrebounded MZT Skopje 39-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. FMP players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Aleksa Radanov (202-98) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Filip Covic (178-89) chipped in 9 points and 12 assists. American point guard Eric Garcia (183-94, college: Wofford) produced 16 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Brett Bailey (200-94, college: San Diego) added 13 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FMP's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beograd to the arena Partizan.
