Regular Season Round 4: Igokea - MZT Skopje 99-108

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Bosnian Igokea (2-2) against tenth ranked FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (2-2) on Monday night. Host Igokea was defeated by MZT Skopje in a tough game in Aleksandrovac 99-108. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Igokea. Igokea was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Igokea 46-24 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. MZT Skopje looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Bulgarian forward Yordan Minchev (202-98) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Bojan Trajkovski (208-88, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Dorell Wright (206-85) responded with 29 points and his fellow American import guard Desi Washington (188-92, college: St.Peter's) scored 21 points. Five MZT Skopje and four Igokea players scored in double figures. Igokea's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending FYR Macedonian champion moved-up to third place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Igokea. MZT Skopje will meet at home Cibona (#4) in the next round. Igokea will play against Partizan in Beograd and hope to secure a win.
