Regular Season Round 7: MZT Skopje - Mega Bemax 76-92

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Serbian Mega Bemax and 10th ranked FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje had identical 2-4 record. But MZT Skopje was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Sremska Mitrovica 92-76. The game was mostly controlled by Mega Bemax. MZT Skopje was better in third quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded MZT Skopje 43-29 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Nikola Rebic (188-95, agency: BeoBasket) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 4 assists. German swingman Kostja Mushidi (195-98, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Power forward Bojan Trajkovski (208-88, agency: Mansfield and Associates) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Montenegrin power forward Radosav Spasojevic (204-92, agency: BeoBasket) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for MZT Skopje in the defeat. Four Mega Bemax and five MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. Mega Bemax (3-4) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. MZT Skopje lost their third game in a row. Defending FYR Macedonian champion keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Mega Bemax's next round opponent will be higher ranked Partizan (#4) in Beograd and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MZT Skopje will play on the road against Olimpija (#11) in Ljubljana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
