Regular Season Round 5: Ohrid AV - Rogaska 56-78

Bottom-ranked FYR Macedonian Ohrid AV (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 78-56 loss to eleventh ranked Slovenian Rogaska (2-3) in Ohrid. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Ohrid AV helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Rashun Davis (180-93, college: Radford) nailed 32 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and forward Mitja Nikolic-Smrdelj (200-91, agency: Players Group) accounted for 16 points and 11 rebounds. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Bosnian center Emir Zimic (218-86, agency: PEPI SPORT) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and French forward Remi Barry (203-91, college: N.Mexico St.) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Ohrid AV in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rogaska moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Ohrid AV at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Rogaska's next round opponent will be higher ranked Borac (#4) in Cacak and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ohrid AV will play on the road against Dynamic BG (#3) in Beograd and hopes to get finally their first victory.
