Regular Season Round 9: Cedevita - Mornar Bar 99-74

Date: November 18, 2017
Third ranked Croatian Cedevita (6-3) crushed at home 6th ranked Montenegrin Mornar Bar (4-5) by 25 points 99-74, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Cedevita made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Bosnian Dzanan Musa (200-99, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Point guard Roko-Leni Ukic (196-84) chipped in 15 points. Four Cedevita players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (191-87, college: S.Carolina) who recorded 17 points and Serbian forward Strahinja Micovic (205-92) added 13 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending Croatian champion maintains third place with 6-3 record having just two points less than leader Buducnost. Loser Mornar Bar keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Olimpija and Igokea. Cedevita will meet at home bottom-ranked MZT Skopje (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mornar Bar will play against Cibona (#11) and hope to secure a win.
