Regular Season Round 13: Cedevita - Zadar 102-101

Fifth-ranked KK Zadar (6-7) made lots of trouble for third ranked Cedevita (10-3) in Zagreb on Saturday. Cedevita managed to secure only one-point victory 102-101. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of KK Zadar. Cedevita looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 31 personal fouls committed by KK Zadar helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Will Cherry (185-91, college: Montana) fired 18 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Bosnian Dzanan Musa (200-99, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 18 points. American swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) produced 28 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the other American import guard Preston Knowles (187-89, college: Louisville) added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cedevita have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending Croatian champion maintains third place with 10-3 record behind leader Buducnost. KK Zadar at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Cedevita are looking forward to face Igokea (#9) in Aleksandrovac in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KK Zadar will play at home against MZT Skopje (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
