Regular Season Round 14: FMP - Partizan NIS 83-71

The most interesting game of round 14 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia/FMP-Beograd/8969. The game took place in Beograd where fifth ranked FMP won against visiting Partizan (6-8) 83-71. FMP looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Partizan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Filip Covic (178-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists. Power forward Dragan Apic (206-95) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Forward Mihajlo Andric (201-94, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 16 points and American guard Nigel Williams-Goss (191-94, college: Gonzaga) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Partizan. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FMP (7-7) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Mornar Bar and Zadar. Partizan at the other side dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Cibona. FMP is looking forward to face Mornar Bar (#5) at home in the next round. Partizan will play against KK Zadar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
