Regular Season Round 16: Mega Bemax - Buducnost 83-94

Montenegrin leader Buducnost delivered the fourteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 11th ranked Serbian Mega Bemax (5-11) 94-83 in Sremska Mitrovica. Buducnost made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Mega Bemax outrebounded Buducnost 39-24 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Nikola Ivanovic (190-94, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Bosnian point guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88) who added 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. Five Buducnost players scored in double figures. At the losing side Slovenian Vlatko Cancar (201-97, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Ognjen Jaramaz (193-95, agency: BeoBasket) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Buducnost have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending Montenegrin champion maintains first position with 14-2 record. Mega Bemax at the other side dropped to the tenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Olimpija. Buducnost will meet at home Olimpija (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mega Bemax will play against Cedevita in Zagreb and hope to secure a win.
