Regular Season Round 17: Buducnost - Olimpija 88-66

ABA League top team - Montenegrin Buducnost (15-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Slovenian Olimpija (5-12) in Podgorica 88-66. Point guard Nikola Ivanovic (190-94, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Bosnian point guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. American Devin Oliver (204-92, college: Dayton) answered with 24 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Gregor Hrovat (196-94) added 11 points and 7 assists in the effort for Olimpija. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Buducnost have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending Montenegrin champion maintains first place with 15-2 record. Olimpija lost seventh consecutive game. Defending Slovenian champion keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Mega Bemax. Buducnost are looking forward to face Mornar Bar (#4) on the road in the next round. Olimpija will play against Cedevita (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
