Regular Season Round 15: Lovcen - KK Primorska 80-81

The most exciting game of round 15 in the ABA League took place in Cetinje. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 7th ranked Montenegrin Lovcen (7-8) to second ranked Slovenian KK Primorska (11-4) 81-80 on Wednesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Lovcen. KK Primorska looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for Croatian center Marijan Cakarun (204-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) who saved his team from a defeat with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Mirko Mulalic (195-88) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Nikola Korac (185-86) answered with 26 points and 6 assists and Aleksa Popovic (201-87) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lovcen. Five KK Primorska and four Lovcen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. KK Primorska keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Borac. Lovcen at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Split and Dynamic BG. KK Primorska is looking forward to face Split (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lovcen will play against Vrsac and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
