Regular Season Round 18: Mornar Bar - Buducnost 87-81

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Buducnost (15-3) on the court of fourth ranked Mornar Bar on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Mornar Bar 87-81. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Buducnost. Guard Nemanja Vranjes (187-88) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Brandis Raley-Ross (191-87, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Mornar Bar players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Bosnian point guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88) with 22 points and point guard Nikola Ivanovic (190-94, agency: BeoBasket) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mornar Bar (11-7) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position. Defending Montenegrin champion Buducnost still keeps top place with three games lost. They share the position with Crvena Zvezda. Mornar Bar are looking forward to face Igokea (#8) in Aleksandrovac in the next round. Buducnost will play on the road against Cedevita (#3) in Zagreb and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
