Regular Season Round 19: Zadar - Cibona 79-73

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Cibona (6-13) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked KK Zadar (9-10) 79-73. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Preston Knowles (187-89, college: Louisville) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 4 assists. Ive Ivanov (200-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Center Luka Zoric (211-84) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Marko Tomas (201-85) added 12 points respectively for Cibona in the defeat. Cibona's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. KK Zadar moved-up to sixth place, which they share with FMP. Cibona lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. KK Zadar's next round opponent will be league's leader Crvena Zvezda in Beograd and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cibona will play at home against Igokea (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
