Regular Season Round 17: Krka - Teodo Tivat 70-59

There was no surprise in Novo Mesto where 8th ranked Montenegrin Teodo Tivat (7-10) was defeated by second ranked Slovenian Krka (12-5) 70-59 on Wednesday. Krka outrebounded Teodo Tivat 40-24 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Serbian-Bosnian forward Marko Josilo (200-92) who scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Miha Skedelj (196-99) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Krka's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Emir Hadzibegovic (204-96) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian guard Aleksandar Radulovic (190-88, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Four Teodo Tivat players scored in double figures. Krka have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Borac. Loser Teodo Tivat dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. Krka will face Split (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Teodo Tivat will play against Ohrid AV and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
