Regular Season Round 17: Lovcen - Zrinjski HT 87-74

We should mention about the upset which took place in Cetinje, where higher ranked Bosnian Zrinjski HT (10-7) lost to ninth ranked Montenegrin Lovcen (8-9) in a road game 74-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Zrinjski HT. Lovcen dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Zrinjski HT's 26 and made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Guard Masan Vrbica (187-94, agency: BeoBasket) nailed 23 points for the winning side and Bosnian center Drasko Albijanic (211-86, agency: BeoExcell) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Vedran Princ (190-82) came up with 16 points and Montenegrin center Marko Ljujic (207-90) added 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for Zrinjski HT in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lovcen moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Split and Dynamic BG. Zrinjski HT at the other side keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Lovcen's next round opponent will be higher ranked Rogaska (#6) in Rogaska Slatina and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zrinjski HT will play at home against Vrsac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
