Regular Season Round 19: Zrinjski HT - KK Primorska 65-67

The most exciting game of round 19 in the ABA League took place in Mostar. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Bosnian Zrinjski HT (11-8) to third ranked Slovenian KK Primorska (13-6) 67-65 on Thursday evening. It was a great evening for Croatian center Marijan Cakarun (204-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Matic Rebec (183-95) helped adding 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (195-90) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian guard Aleksandar Sokolovic (193-93) scored 10 points and 6 assists. Zrinjski HT's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KK Primorska moved-up to second place, which they share with Krka. Zrinjski HT at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. KK Primorska is looking forward to face league's second-placed Krka in Novo Mesto in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zrinjski HT will play on the road against Rogaska in Rogaska Slatina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
