Regular Season Round 3: Primorska - MZT Skopje 91-84

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (2-1) in Koper on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Slovenian Primorska (3-0) 91-84. Primorska outrebounded MZT Skopje 47-33 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by MZT Skopje helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Croatian center Marijan Cakarun (204-90, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds. Serbian-Croatian Marko Jagodic-Kuridza (205-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) helped adding 14 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard James Woodard (191-94, college: Tulsa) with 20 points and 4 steals and Croatian Ive Ivanov (200-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Primorska is looking forward to face Borac (#6) in Cacak in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. MZT Skopje will play at home against Lovcen and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
