Regular Season Round 4: Mega Bemax - P.Olimpija 81-77

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Serbian Mega Bemax (4-0) beat 6th ranked Slovenian P.Olimpija (2-2) in Sremska Mitrovica 81-77 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Mega Bemax forced 25 P.Olimpija turnovers and had a 25-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. P.Olimpija was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Nikola Miskovic (207-99, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Stefan Fundic (199-94, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Mega Bemax players scored in double figures. Miha Lapornik (193-93) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Blaz Mesicek (197-97, agency: BeoBasket) added 15 points in the effort for P.Olimpija. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Mega Bemax have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Crvena Zvezda. Defending Slovenian champion P.Olimpija dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Mega Bemax will face Mornar Bar (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. P.Olimpija will play against Cibona (#10) and hope to win that game.
