Regular Season Round 5: Primorska - Helios Suns 87-58

ABA League top team - Primorska (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Helios Suns (1-4) in Koper 87-58. Primorska dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Helios Suns' 16. They outrebounded Helios Suns 41-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. Primorska looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Serbian-Croatian Marko Jagodic-Kuridza (205-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) nailed 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American swingman Lance Harris (197-84, college: Kansas St.) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists. Four Primorska players scored in double figures. Urban Durnik (201-97) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Miha Fon (193-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 16 points respectively for Helios Suns in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Primorska have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record. Helios Suns lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Primorska will meet at home Lovcen (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Helios Suns will play against Rogaska and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
