Regular Season Round 6: Krka - Zadar 77-78

Bottom-ranked Croatian KK Zadar managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they edged sixth-ranked Slovenian Krka in Novo Mesto 78-77. KK Zadar looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Point guard Luka Bozic (200-96) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Swedish forward Will Magarity (211-93, college: Davidson, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Luka Lapornik (195-88, agency: PEPI SPORT) with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Domen Bratoz (189-93) scored 18 points and 5 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KK Zadar (2-4) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Krka. KK Zadar will meet at home league's second-placed Mega Bemax in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Krka will play against FMP (#4) in Beograd and hope to secure a win.
