Regular Season Round 6: Mega Bemax - Partizan NIS 74-81

Mega Bemax (5-1) recorded its first loss in Sremska Mitrovica on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Partizan (3-3) 81-74. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Mega Bemax. 25 personal fouls committed by Mega Bemax helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was swingman Rade Zagorac (204-95, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Australian center Jock Landale (211-95, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Partizan players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Georgian center Goga Bitadze (212-99, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded a double-double by scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and Bosnian swingman Edin Atic (201-97, agency: BeoBasket) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Partizan moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cibona and FMP. Mega Bemax at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Partizan is looking forward to face Cibona (#6) in Zagreb in the next round. Mega Bemax will play on the road against KK Zadar (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
