Regular Season Round 7: Cedevita - Igokea 100-80

Everything could happen in Zagreb at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Croatian Cedevita and 8th ranked Bosnian Igokea had identical 2-4 record. This time Cedevita used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Aleksandrovac 100-80. It was a great evening for American Elgin Cook (197-93, college: Oregon, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Justin Cobbs (191-91, college: California, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 20 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Serbian Sava Lesic (205-88, agency: BeoBasket) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian-Bosnian point guard Filip Adamovic (183-88, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending Croatian champion (3-4) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cibona. Igokea at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Cedevita will play against higher ranked FMP (#4) in Beograd in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Igokea will play at home against P.Olimpija (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
