Regular Season Round 9: Vrsac - Primorska 65-103

ABA League top team - Slovenian Primorska (9-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Serbian Vrsac (1-8) 103-65. Primorska forced 21 Vrsac turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 35 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Vrsac's players. Tadej Ferme (187-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) nailed 26 points for the winning side and American swingman Lance Harris (197-84, college: Kansas St.) accounted for 20 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Primorska players scored in double figures. Primorska's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (180-96) came up with 15 points and 4 assists and center Dusan Ognjenovic (216-91) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vrsac in the defeat. Primorska have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Vrsac lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. Primorska will play against Dynamic VP (#7) in Beograd in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vrsac will play on the road against Lovcen (#4) in Cetinje to get more than just one victory in their record.
