Regular Season Round 9: Rogaska - MZT Skopje 102-90

The game between second ranked FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (6-3) and ninth ranked Slovenian Rogaska (4-5) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. MZT Skopje was defeated by Rogaska in Rogaska Slatina 102-90. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of MZT Skopje. They outrebounded MZT Skopje 40-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Rogaska looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Miha Vasl (192-92) stepped up with a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and forward Marko Pajic (205-92) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Croatian Ive Ivanov (200-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) with 30 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists. Four Rogaska and five MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. MZT Skopje's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Rogaska moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. MZT Skopje at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Rogaska is looking forward to face Borac (#6) in Cacak in the next round. MZT Skopje will play at home against Sutjeska and is hoping to win this game.
