Regular Season Round 9: Dynamic VP - Borac 89-98

There was a minor upset in Beograd where 6th ranked Dynamic VP (4-5) was defeated by eighth ranked Borac (4-5) 98-89 on Wednesday. Borac shot 64.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Borac looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Ilija Djokovic (187-96) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 assists. Center Djordje Majstorovic (208-90, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 16 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Marko Cakarevic (200-88) who recorded 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and guard Andreja Stevanovic (195-95) added 24 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Borac moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Dynamic VP. Borac will meet at home Rogaska (#8) in the next round. Dynamic VP will play against the league's leader Primorska in Koper and hope to secure a win.
