Regular Season Round 9: Zrinjski HT - Helios Suns 96-86

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Mostar where eleventh ranked Bosnian Zrinjski HT (2-7) defeated 10th ranked Slovenian Helios Suns (3-6) 96-86 on Wednesday. Zrinjski HT made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (196-90) who scored 30 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Croatian forward Marko Ramljak (201-93) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian guard Miroslav Pasajlic (191-95) who recorded 20 points and 4 assists and Serbian center Djoko Salic (211-95) added 15 points respectively. Four Helios Suns players scored in double figures. Helios Suns' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending Bosnian champion maintains eleventh place with 2-7 record. Loser Helios Suns keep the tenth position with six games lost. Zrinjski HT will meet at home higher ranked Split (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Helios Suns will play against the league's second-placed Spars Sarajevo (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
