Regular Season Round 10: Helios Suns - Spars Sarajevo 76-69

The most important game in the last round took place in Domzale between second ranked Bosnian Spars Sarajevo (7-2) and tenth ranked Slovenian Helios Suns (3-6) on Wednesday night. Spars Sarajevo was defeated by Helios Suns in a tough game on the road 69-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Spars Sarajevo. Helios Suns forced 22 Spars Sarajevo turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Serbian center Djoko Salic (211-95) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Blaz Mahkovic (201-90, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 20 points. Center Drasko Albijanic (211-86) produced 15 points and 5 assists and power forward Ibrahim Durmo (200-97) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Helios Suns maintains tenth position with 3-6 record. Spars Sarajevo at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Helios Suns are looking forward to face higher ranked Split (#5) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Spars Sarajevo will play against MZT Skopje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
