ABA League round 11 most important game was a victory of FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje over 3rd placed Bosnian Spars Sarajevo 75-71 on Thursday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Spars Sarajevo. American guard James Woodard (191-94, college: Tulsa) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. Croatian Ive Ivanov (200-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. Center Drasko Albijanic (211-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian Slobodan Jovanovic (193-97) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Spars Sarajevo. Spars Sarajevo's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. MZT Skopje maintains second place with 8-3 record having just three points less than leader Primorska. Spars Sarajevo at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Lovcen. MZT Skopje are looking forward to face Helios Suns (#9) in Domzale in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spars Sarajevo will play at home against Borac (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
