Regular Season Round 12: Zadar - FMP 79-85

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Serbian FMP and 9th ranked Croatian KK Zadar had identical 4-7 record. But KK Zadar was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Beograd 85-79. 27 personal fouls committed by KK Zadar helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by power forward Dragan Apic (206-95, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 26 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Marko Jeremic (192-91) supported him with 20 points. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by point guard Luka Bozic (200-96) did not help to save the game for KK Zadar. American point guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) added 15 points and 5 assists. Four KK Zadar players scored in double figures. KK Zadar's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. FMP (5-7) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cibona. KK Zadar lost fourth consecutive game. KK Zadar at the other side dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. FMP's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Mega Bemax in Sremska Mitrovica and it may be quite challenging game. KK Zadar will play on the road against Cedevita (#4) in Zagreb and hope to win that game.
