Serbian undefeated leader Crvena Zvezda delivered the twelfth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Croatian Cibona (5-7) 76-54 in Zagreb. Crvena Zvezda dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Cibona's 28. They outrebounded Cibona 42-24 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of Nigerian center Michael Ojo (216-93, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Billy Baron (188-90, college: Canisius, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Ojo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Serbian guard Marko Ljubicic (195-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Igor Maric (195-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Crvena Zvezda (12-0) have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending Serbian champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 12 victories in a row. Cibona lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with FMP. Crvena Zvezda will meet at home Buducnost (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cibona will play against Igokea in Aleksandrovac and hope to secure a win.
