Regular Season Round 13: Split - Dynamic VP 72-78

An interesting game where Serbian Dynamic VP (#8) won against host Croatian Split (#5) 78-72 on Thursday evening. Dynamic VP looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Milos Glisic (205-98) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and power forward Petar Rakicevic (200-95) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Dynamic VP's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Michael Cobbins (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Mauro Veljacic (183-93) scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Split players scored in double figures. Dynamic VP (6-7) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Borac. Split lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Sutjeska. Dynamic VP will meet at home bottom-ranked Vrsac (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Split will play against Rogaska (#11) in Rogaska Slatina and hope to secure a win.
