Regular Season Round 14: Rogaska - Split 74-69

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Croatian Split (7-7) and Slovenian Rogaska (5-9), which took place in Rogaska Slatina. Higher ranked Split lost to eleventh ranked Rogaska in a road game 69-74 on Thursday. Rogaska forced 23 Split turnovers. Strangely Split outrebounded Rogaska 32-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. American point guard Rashun Davis (182-93, college: Radford) notched 12 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and Serbian power forward Sreten Knezevic (206-94, agency: PEPI SPORT) supported him with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Rogaska players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Michael Cobbins (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) did not help to save the game for Split. His fellow American import guard Jamel Morris (193-92, college: Fairmont St.) added 16 points for the guests. Despite that victory Rogaska went down to twenty first position due to points difference, which they share with Helios Suns and Zrinjski HT. Split lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighteenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Borac and Dynamic VP. Rogaska will meet Vrsac (#24) on the road in the next round. Split will play against Sutjeska (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
