Regular Season Round 16: MZT Skopje - Zrinjski HT 97-75

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Bosnian Zrinjski HT (5-11) was crushed on the road by second ranked FYR Macedonian MZT Skopje (11-5) 97-75. MZT Skopje forced 21 Zrinjski HT turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a very good performance for Serbian Andrija Bojic (207-93, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Serbian-FYR Macedonian point guard Andrej Magdevski (192-96) contributed with 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Serbian guard Aleksandar Sokolovic (193-93) replied with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian forward Marko Ramljak (201-93) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists in the effort for Zrinjski HT. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MZT Skopje maintains second position with 11-5 record having four points less than leader Primorska, which they share with Spars Sarajevo. Zrinjski HT lost third consecutive game. Defending Bosnian champion keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Helios Suns. MZT Skopje will play against Split (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Zrinjski HT will play against Borac and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
