Regular Season Round 17: FMP - Igokea 87-78

Everything could happen in Beograd at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked Serbian FMP and 9th ranked Bosnian Igokea had identical 6-10 record. This time FMP used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Aleksandrovac 87-78. FMP dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Igokea's 30. Slovenian point guard Matic Rebec (183-95, agency: PEPI SPORT) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 assists. Australian-South Sudanese forward Duop Reath (211-96, college: LSU) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Serbian Sava Lesic (205-88, agency: BeoBasket) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian Marko Lukovic (207-92, agency: BeoBasket) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Igokea. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. FMP (7-10) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cibona and Mornar Bar. Igokea at the other side keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. FMP's next round opponent will be Krka (#10) in Novo Mesto. Igokea will play at home against the league's second-placed Cedevita and hope to win that game.
