Regular Season Round 20: FMP - P.Olimpija 64-63

A very interesting game took place in Beograd. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Slovenian P.Olimpija (6-14) to sixth ranked Serbian FMP (9-11) 64-63 on Monday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. FMP outrebounded P.Olimpija 37-21 including 18 on the offensive glass. Stefan Momirov (192-99) saved the victory by scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Aleksa Uskokovic (189-99) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. American center Marvin Jones (213-93, college: Texas Southern, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and Bosnian-Slovenian center Mirza Begic (216-85) added 13 points in the effort for P.Olimpija. Four P.Olimpija players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. FMP maintains sixth position with 9-11 record. Defending Slovenian champion P.Olimpija keeps the eleventh place with 14 games lost. FMP's next round opponent will be Mornar Bar (#10) on the road. P.Olimpija will play against the league's second-placed Cedevita and hope to win that game.
