Regular Season Round 15: Mornar Bar - Primorska 99-84

The game in Bar was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Slovenian Primorska (8-7) played at the court of seventh ranked Montenegrin Mornar Bar (8-7). Mornar Bar defeated Primorska 99-84 on Saturday. Primorska was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American-Montenegrin point guard Derek Needham (180-90, college: Fairfield) who scored 22 points and 6 assists. Serbian center Uros Lukovic (213-89, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian swingman Aleksandar Lazic (203-96, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Slovenian center Ziga Dimec (210-93) added 17 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mornar Bar moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Primorska. Primorska lost their fourth game in a row. Mornar Bar will face higher ranked Cedevita Olimpija (#3) in Ljubljana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
