Regular Season Round 16: Zadar - Igokea 81-88

Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Bosnian Igokea (6-10) won against on the road 11th ranked Croatian KK Zadar (4-12) 88-81 on Sunday. The winners were led by Serbian center Djordje Gagic (210-90, agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Serbian-Bosnian forward Dalibor Ilic (202-0) supported him with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Even 19 points and 8 assists by American guard Bryon Allen (193-92, college: GMU) did not help to save the game for KK Zadar. Power forward Domagoj Vukovic (206-93) added 18 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KK Zadar's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Igokea have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Krka. Loser KK Zadar keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Igokea will meet at home higher ranked Crvena Zvezda (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KK Zadar will play against the league's leader Partizan NIS (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
