Regular Season Round 17: Split - MZT Skopje 98-85

Very important is a road loss of second ranked North Macedonian MZT Skopje (12-5) against sixth ranked Croatian Split (9-8) on Tuesday night. Visiting MZT Skopje was defeated by Split in Split 98-85. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Guard Toni Perkovic (190-98, agency: XL Basketball Agency) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and forward Darko Bajo (209-99, agency: BeoBasket) accounted for 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Power forward Bojan Krstevski (206-89, agency: Interperformances) came up with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian Djordje Milosevic (199-93) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for MZT Skopje in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MZT Skopje's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Split have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Defending North Macedonian champion MZT Skopje keeps the second position with five games lost. Split will meet league's leader Borac in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MZT Skopje will play against Helios Suns and hope to secure a win.
